Sizifi Alpha / Care & Maintain
To ensure the long-term performance of the tape, follow these care and maintenance tips:
Device Care
- Keep the device in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or high humidity.
- Wipe the tape and device body with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials.
- Press buttons gently and avoid sharp objects or excessive force.
Tape Care
Do not pull the tape beyond its maximum length.
Retract the tape slowly and gently to avoid damage to the internal mechanism.
Keep the tape clean and dry; wipe it with a soft cloth after use.
Avoid folding or twisting the tape.
Screen Care
- Keep the screen away from water or excessive moisture.
- Clean the screen gently with a microfiber cloth.
- Avoid applying excessive pressure.
Battery Care
- Always use a USB-C cable to charge the device.
- Maintain the battery between 20% and 80% for optimal health.
- Avoid overcharging by unplugging the device once it’s fully charged.
- If the device doesn’t turn on, recharge the battery or replace it if necessary
- Use only recommended battery types.
Calibration Verification
- If measurements appear inaccurate or inconsistent, calibrate the device using the instructions on the Calibration page, or contact customer support for help.

- Regularly check for firmware updates to ensure your device runs with the latest features and improvements.
- Firmware updates provide performance enhancements, maintenance and long-term device stability. .
- Use the Sizifi Devices app to check for firmware updates.
